Ascovilo is the Lombard DOCG, DOC and IGT Wine Consortia Association. It was founded on 28 July 1977 as a non-profit association.
Ascovilo’s members are spontaneous consortia and wine producers associations focused on protecting and promoting the indigenous wines of Lombardy region. Those volunteers associations are officially recognized by the Italian government to supervise the quality production of the appellations wines.
Also the territorial institutions, the local chambers of commerce and other public or private associations can request to be part of the Ascovilo consortium: the process of admissions requires the verification of the common aims and purposes of those entities along with the sharing of the same values and goals.
